COVID-19 Information
ESD 123 is proud to partner with Washington's ESDs and 150 school districts to provide regional COVID-19 guidance and testing through partnership with the Washington State Department of Health. School-based COVID-19 testing is being offered to minimize transmission of the disease and maximize time for student learning and engagement.
For School Districts, 2023-2024 School Year:
ESD 123 can support and help supply PreK-12 school districts with testing supplies and support for developing testing programs. Schools can continue to use the DOH COVID Test Ordering Portal to order COVID-19 test supplies.
The Washington State Department of Health COVID-19 guidance has been updated to align with the CDC COVID-19 Guidance. Please see the WA DOH Updated COVID-19 Isolation Guidance K-12 Talking Points for more information. The Department of Health will continue to provide COVID-19 prevention and guidance based on existing science, strategies, and the most recent health recommendations, to protect school and childcare communities and reduce COVID-19 transmission and outbreaks. All schools and childcare programs should establish a core set of infectious disease prevention strategies as part of everyday operations.
- Schools and childcare centers should check with their Local Health Jurisdiction for guidance and reporting updates.
- Schools and childcare should consider additional mitigation strategies such as masking, social distancing, sanitizing, proper hand washing, improved ventilation and testing during outbreaks or when there is a high absenteeism due to respiratory illness.
- Employees are required to follow L&I requirements regarding COVID-19 in the workplace.
